Cinnamon Wine Cookies

I’m still sick, but that doesn’t mean I won’t post a yummy cookie recipe.

This is lovely wine cookie recipe that’s not sweet, but doesn’t need that much sweetness.  They’re really flavourful and goes great with tea.  I especially like the fact that the dough looks like play dough :D.

  • 3 cups flour
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1/2 sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar for decorating

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/ 175 degrees C.

In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon.  Add in the oil until combined.  Add in the wine.  Refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Roll 1 inch dough balls.  Roll cookies in extra sugar and flatten.

Place on greased baking sheet.  Bake for 25 minutes or until slightly browned.  Let cool and enjoy.
